Five Things EmmyWritesAbout Made Me Buy.

Flay lay of products
Long term 'followers' of myself and my blog will know that throughout my online journey, myself and Emma have gotten very close, now if you don't already know Emma then please also head over to her blog etc, as I know you'll love it too. In the years that I've known Emma, she's obviously influenced to buy many products, there has been some I've not been too impressed with, however, there has been some I've absolutely fallen head over heels in love with. So I thought I would share with you the five stand out products that Emma has made me purchase and fall in love with.
Kiss Primer
Kiss 'Prime of your life, light reflecting' Primer | £3
Probably the best product Emma ever introduced me to. I remember thinking that this primer wouldn't work, I thought for three pounds surely it can't do anything but she raved about it so much that I just had to pick one up. I was so shocked, it actually worked and made my skin feel amazing and made my makeup last all day. I couldn't believe how good it was to say it was three pounds. It's now my absolute favourite primer and I am forever raving about it. Whenever I pop into Wilko's I always stock up and I'm sure I have about five back ups in my collection. It's like no other primer I've tried and I cannot for the life of me describe the texture but it instantly smooths the skin of any imperfections and quickly becomes matte on the skin. I have combination skin and I've never had any bother with it with my skin and it doesn't cling to any dry patches either.
Essence camouflage full coverage concealer
Essence 'Camouflage full coverage' Concealer | £2.50
I actually picked this up when myself and Emma went shopping in Blackpool together. It was actually the first time we met and we popped into Wilko's. I'd never tried Essence before and Emma was always raving about their products. She told me I needed this concealer in my life so obviously I bought one. I quickly became obsessed with the concealer, it's the perfect concealer for hiding those dark circles but also covering any blemishes you may have. It never looks cakey on the skin and lasts really well too.
Benefit Hoola Contour Stick
Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick | £24
Emma actually bought this when we went shopping in Blackpool but it wasn't until months later that I decided to buy it. She kept raving about it and how amazing it was. I wasn't so sure as I loved powder contour and honestly, the thought of a cream contour product scared me but Emma reassured me this wasn't a scary product and in fact blended really well. I finally bit the bullet and purchased it. She was right - again! It's an amazing product and not at all scary. Now I don't wear this daily, I only wear it when I am going out but I love it. It's the perfect shade for my skin tone, easy to apply, blends easily and as long as you don't go in with a heavy hand you cannot go wrong. I love it.
ABH Subculture
Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Subculture' Palette | £43
Probably the most scariest looking makeup product Emma ever made me buy. This was way out of my comfort zone but seeing how much Emma loved it, I just had to buy it. It is completely different to any other palette in my collection and that's what I love about it. The shades are a lot more 'grungy' than I am used to, but, I still absolutely love it and recently, I've gotten more and more wear out of it.
Colour Pop Lippie Stix - Lumiere.
Colour Pop 'Lumiere' Lippie Stix | $5.50
Now, Emma got me obsessed with Colour Pop in general. I'd never even heard of Colour Pop until I started speaking to her. In my time of been friends with her, she's made me place a couple of orders from their website but my absolute favourite product from them has to be the Lippie Stix in Lumiere. It's a gorgeous warm toned mauve pink shade and even thought it's matte it is very wearable. It's not at all drying on the lips yet still lasts hours on the lips.

  1. Word of mouth and reading blogs is the best way to get the inside track. It’s great that Emma was able to recommend some really great products. We’re interested about the contour stick!
