Taking Better Care Of My Skin In 2019*.

Taking Better Care Of My Skin In 2019*.
Each year I set myself some brand new goals, I've already done a post about 'Five things I want to do in 2019' but there is one major thing I missed off that post as I wanted to save it for a post all on it's own. I've decided that in 2019, I want to take much better care of myself. I want to have a proper skin care routine, a proper hair care routine, I want to always have nice nails etc. So with a little help from I'm doing just that. They've sent me a whole collection of goodies to try out to help me achieve my goal for 2019. For this post I've decided to focus on my skin care routine - other posts will come in the future, so watch this space...

Garnier Micellar Water
Garnier Micellar Water | £4.99*
This has always been a staple in my collection but when I saw that they did one specific one for combination skin on the website, I just had to snap it up. My skin is of course combination and I've been trying to find more products which suit my skin type. I use this first thing in the morning and then again at night to remove the majority of my makeup before I do my first cleanse. I always use it after I've worked out too as I just help it keeps my face clean. It does a good job at removing makeup and it doesn't irritate my skin which is another bonus for me.
Avene Cleanser
Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion | £8.99*
The name of this product grabbed my attention - 'extremely gentle' it certainly sounded like something I needed in my collection. My skin was horrendous in 2018, I constantly had break outs and nothing seemed to clear it up. I've been using this a few weeks now and I've had no real issues with my skin. I've had a couple of spots but nothing too serious and it hasn't irritated my skin at all. I always use this as my second cleanse.
Rose Water
Natures Aid Triple Strength Rose Water | £2.95*
I've heard so many people say how amazing rose water is for the skin, so I wanted to give it a go myself. I've been using it as a toner on my skin every other night and I've really noticed a change in how my skin feels since using this. It's not got an over powering rose scent but you can tell it's rose water from the scent. It smells fresh and doesn't irritate my skin either.
Balance Eye Cream
Balance Dragons Blood Eye Lift Balm | £3.99*
You may already know, that last week (14th January) I turned the ripe old age of 25. Now, I'm not saying I have wrinkles, or eye bags or anything like that - I just thought it was about time I started to take care of the skin around my eyes. Apparently its the most delicate area of skin, so it's never too early to start giving it some TLC. This eye cream intrigued me due to it saying it contains 'Dragons Blood' whether it really does or not, I don't know but I was excited to see whether it really did lift or tighten my eye area, I've been using it a few weeks now and I can't really see much of a different but as I say, I'm still only 25 but I'd rather start looking after my skin too early, than too late.
Garnier Face Mask
Now, if you know me, you'll know I love a good face mask and Garnier ones never fail me. This is a mask I am yet to try but I am so excited to. I picked it up as I've tried other masks from this brand before and absolutely loved them and as this one says it's suitable for combination to oily skin I thought I'd give it a try. I'll let you know my thoughts on it, once I've used it.
St Ives Body Scrub
St Ives Apricot Scrub | £4.19*
I wasn't sure whether to include this in this post or my body post so I thought I'd include it anyway as it is an absolute life saver of a product. Emma recommended me this product a while back as I suffer from 'bacne' a nothing I ever used, cleared it up. I even tried medication from the doctors and it didn't clear it. I'd recently ran out and forgot to repurchase some, however, as soon as I saw it on the website - I had to get some. It works wonders, honestly I cannot recommend this product enough and I thought I'd mention it here as it worked amazingly on my back, I'm sure it would work just as good on the face!
Carmex Lip Balm
Carmex | £1.89*
Everyone who knows me, knows I always carry round a lip balm or lip oil in my bag. However, the ones I carry around tend to be massive tubes/tubs so I thought I'd get this one as it seemed more bag friendly. It's a pretty good lip balm to be honest, my lips haven't felt dry since using it and it doesn't have an over powering scent to it either which I like.

What were your goals for 2019? What's a staple product in your skin care routine? Any of the above?
